New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson was named NBA Finals MVP following Saturday’s title-clinching victory over the San Antonio Spurs.
Brunson scored 45 points on 14-of-27 shooting in Game 5 as the Knicks claimed their first championship since 1973. It was the most points scored by a Knicks player in a Finals game.
He’s also the fourth player in NBA history to score 45 or more points in a title-clinching victory.
