The Washington Wizards aren’t parting with No. 1.
Washington isn’t discussing trades involving the first overall pick in the draft and is expected to make the selection at the start of Tuesday’s first round, a source told Andscape’s Marc J. Spears.
The Wizards, who won the draft lottery after finishing last in the Eastern Conference, are widely believed to be choosing between AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer, and Darryn Peterson. The Kansas product didn’t participate in workouts with any teams besides Washington but apparently wouldn’t be opposed to landing elsewhere.
