Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Laquon Treadwell is keeping his No. 13 jersey, declining to give it to recent signing Keenan Allen.
“Me and Keenan spoke probably three times already,” Treadwell said Wednesday, per The Athletic’s James Boyd. “He was just like, he’s not really worried about it. And like I told him, ‘I respect the game. I know what you did in the number.’ Me and my family, we did a lot of praying about it as well. So, he was cool with me keeping the number.”
Allen wore No. 13 throughout his 13-year NFL career with the Los Angeles Chargers and Chicago Bears, but donned No. 10 this preseason after signing with the Colts in August. The six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver ranks 13th in NFL history with 1,055 receptions.
