The New Orleans Saints hired Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore as their new head coach, the team announced Tuesday.
Moore was touted as the favorite to land the job. He helped lead the Eagles to a dominant Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in his first season as the team’s offensive coordinator.
Former Los Angeles Chargers head coach Brandon Staley is the leading candidate to become the Saints’ defensive coordinator, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Moore was Staley’s offensive coordinator in 2023 as the Chargers finished 5-12 and last in the AFC West.
