Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray erupted for a career-high 55 points on 20-of-36 shooting in Wednesday’s 132-121 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Murray’s 55 points are the third-most scored in a single game by a Nuggets player in the franchise’s history. He also contributed four rebounds, five assists, and two steals while hitting seven threes in 42 minutes.
“As a coach, when you’re watching one of your players have that kind of game, you’re just so proud of him and happy for him,” Nuggets head coach Michael Malone said, per Mile High Sports’ Ryan Blackburn.
“Tonight was his best game ever from a numbers standpoint.”
