The Atlanta Hawks and guard Dyson Daniels agreed to a four-year, $100-million rookie contract extension, his agent told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The reigning Most Improved Player averaged 14.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and a league-leading 3.0 steals in 76 games. The Australian’s 229 steals last season were the most since Gary Payton had 231 in 1995-96.
Daniels, 22, was also named to the All-Defensive first team.
