Bill Belichick and New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft were named finalists for the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame, with Belichick selected as the coaching candidate and Kraft as a contributor. They helped build New England’s dynasty, which produced six Super Bowl titles under Belichick and 10 Super Bowl appearances since Kraft bought the team in 1994.
Also advancing as senior finalists are Ken Anderson, Roger Craig, and L.C. Greenwood. Anderson was the 1981 NFL MVP and led the Bengals to their first Super Bowl. Craig was a key part of the 49ers’ dynasty and the first player with 1,000 rushing and receiving yards in a season. Greenwood starred on the Steelers’ dominant 1970s defense that won four Super Bowls.
The 50-member selection committee will vote in 2026, with up to three finalists needing 80% approval for induction. Several notable semifinalists, including coaches Tom Coughlin, Mike Shanahan, and George Seifert, did not advance.
