The Indianapolis Colts will have to continue without Anthony Richardson, as head coach Shane Steichen announced Monday that the 23-year-old will remain on injured reserve this week, according to the Indianapolis Star’s Joel A. Erickson.
“He’s still working through it,” Steichen said, per team reporter JJ Stankevitz. “Obviously, it’s an eye; it’s very delicate. So he’s just resting it, and then once the doctors and trainers clear him to be activated – that’s where it’s at right now. Still just healing up.”
The Colts are searching for options at quarterback after Steichen confirmed that starter Daniel Jones suffered a torn Achilles in Sunday’s loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
