The Atlanta Hawks are trading star guard Trae Young to the Washington Wizards, sources told ESPN’s Shams Charania.
The Wizards are sending veteran guard CJ McCollum and forward Corey Kispert to the Hawks in the deal.
Young, who hasn’t played since Dec. 27 due to a quad injury, indicated that he preferred to land in Washington after Atlanta began exploring a trade for the 27-year-old, Charania reported earlier Wednesday. His agents reportedly began working with the Hawks on Monday to find a trade destination for Young.
