The Pittsburgh Steelers signed tight end J.J. Galbreath to a reserve/future contract, bringing him back after he spent time with the team during training camp and on the practice squad last season.
Galbreath, an undrafted free agent out of South Dakota in the 2025 Draft, had a strong college career and earned first-team AP All-American honors, but was cut during final roster reductions. He briefly returned to the practice squad before being released again, appearing in three preseason games with three catches for 23 yards.
The reserve/future deal gives Galbreath another opportunity to compete during offseason workouts and training camp, especially with tight end Connor Heyward potentially leaving in free agency.
