The Philadelphia Eagles hired Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion as their offensive coordinator, the team announced Thursday.
Mannion, 33, spent the last two seasons with the Packers. Before becoming a coach, he played quarterback in the NFL from 2015-23. Drafted in the third round in 2015 by the then-St. Louis Rams, Mannion finished his career with 573 passing yards in 14 games.
“It was quickly apparent in meeting with Sean that he is a bright young coach with a tremendous future ahead of him in this league. I was impressed by his systematic views on offensive football and his strategic approach,” Eagles head coach Nick
