Shakur Stevenson made easy work of Teofimo Lopez Jr. to win the WBO junior welterweight title and become a four-division champion at Madison Square Garden on Saturday.
Stevenson defeated Lopez by unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the fight 119-109. He remains undefeated, owning a 25-0 record with 11 knockouts.
The 28-year-old Stevenson kept Lopez off balance with his elite defense, mixing in quick, stiff jabs and a series of check hooks to leave a cut over his opponent’s left eye in the middle rounds.
