The San Francisco 49ers are hiring former Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris as their defensive coordinator, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Morris replaces Robert Saleh, who became the head coach of the Tennessee Titans.
This will mark the fourth time that Morris and 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan are part of the same NFL coaching staff. They previously served together in Tampa Bay (2004-2005), Washington (2012-2013), and Atlanta (2015-2016), according to Schefter.
