Jayson Tatum took another important step toward returning this season from a torn Achilles tendon.
The Boston Celtics star was assigned to the G League’s Maine Celtics to participate in portions of their team practice Monday afternoon, the club announced.
Boston will immediately recall Tatum following the G League affiliate’s practice, and he’ll continue his rehab with the NBA franchise.
