The Detroit Tigers signed Justin Verlander on Tuesday, Feb. 10, to a one-year, $13 million contract for the 2026 season. The deal includes $11 million in deferred payments, starting in 2030.
He turns 43 on Feb. 20.
The Tigers selected Verlander with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2004 draft, and he pitched for the Tigers from 2005-17.
