FIFA will launch a final round of World Cup ticket sales starting April 1, running through the end of the tournament (June 11 to July 19), with tickets available on a first-come, first-served basis. Over one million tickets were already sold in earlier phases.
Despite strong demand, FIFA has faced significant backlash over high ticket prices, ranging from about $140 for group matches to as much as $8,680 for the final, along with the use of dynamic pricing. Fan groups and consumer organizations have even filed a formal complaint with the European Commission.
This final sales phase will also allow fans to choose specific seats, and existing ticket holders will be able to view their seat assignments starting April 1.
