Merely hours after reports surfaced that Chelsea and Manchester United were prepared to revive talks over Mason Mount’s potential transfer to Old Trafford, the two clubs have reached an agreement over an initial £55-million deal, according to The Athletic’s David Ornstein.
An additional £5 million could be paid to Chelsea in “difficult add-ons,” Ornstein adds.
Mount, 24, has now been given permission to undergo a medical with United. He agreed to personal terms with the Red Devils “weeks ago,” transfer insider Fabrizio Romano reports.
