The Philadelphia Eagles are trading backup quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Cleveland Browns for quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a fifth-round pick, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Pickett spent just one season in Philadelphia as Jalen Hurts’ backup after beginning his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He started one game in 2024 for an injured Hurts while also appearing in four other contests in relief. Pickett threw for 295 yards and two touchdowns against one interception while completing 59.5% of his passes.
The 26-year-old started 24 games for the Steelers across his first two seasons in the league after Pittsburgh selected him in the first round of the 2022 draft. Pickett went 7-5 in his starts in both ’22 and ’23 before the Steelers traded him to Philadelphia ahead of the 2024 season.
