Class of 2022 tight end Andre Dollar is the second commitment in Oregon’s class, joining Central Catholic four-star linebacker Emar’rion Winston.
For Dollar, who grew up a fan of the Ducks, the catalyst of his early decision was a Junior Day trip to Oregon.
“To get a taste of that dream and check out Eugene, it was just awesome,” he said. “Just flying into the airport, seeing the mountains and the tall trees, it was just beautiful. From that point on, everything was amazing. They spent so much time on the little things, making sure the players are taken care of… every little detail. And the coaches, how well they greeted me made me feel like part of their family. They made me feel like I was an Oregon Duck for two days. The whole coaching staff gave me handshakes and hugs. They were like, ‘How are you doing Andre?’ – calling me by my first name, coaches I’d never even talked to before.”
