Deion Sanders lands an SEC transfer in his first week as Jackson State head coach.
On Tuesday night, departing Mississippi State freshman cornerback Javorrius Selmon announced he is transferring to Jackson State to play for “Coach Prime.”
Selmon shared the news via his Twitter account:
“Big announcement first I would like to thank the entire Mississippi State staff for the opportunity they gave me along with the love and support they showed but at this time I want to announce that I am coming home to play for Coach Prime!” Selmon wrote in his note.
Selmon opted-out of the 2020 season on Sept. 13. The Jackson, Mississippi native was rated a 3-star ATH in the class of 2020 on the 247Sports Composite coming out of Provine High School, where he posted 47 tackles and 7 pass breakups as a senior in 2019.
