Fields, Ohio State Dominate in Big Ten Showdown

Posted on November 1, 2020November 1, 2020 by Reginald Basley

Last night, Ohio State displayed why they have been the reigning Big Ten Champions for the past three years. It all starts with the QB. Ohio State has religiously had the best QB under center in the conference.
Ohio State has recruited Top dual quarterbacks for nearly a decade. The talent these quarterbacks possess (mainly athletically) has carried the Buckeyes over these divisional foes.

Justin Fields had a magnificent game against the Nitty Lions. Fields completed 28-34 passes, threw for 318 yards , four touchdowns and one rushing TD. He was above 80% completion rate. Fields also connected on two touchdowns to Chris Olave who finished with 7 catches for 120 yards.

Sean Clifford played a much better game last night despite losing again. He was 18-30, threw 281 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. The Nitty Lions run game was nonexistent. They were out-rushed 208 to 44 yards.
The biggest takeaway for Penn State fans was junior wideout Jahan Doctson who caught 8 receptions for 144 yards and three touchdowns. The 0-2 Nitty Lions will mostly be unranked and will need a must win game against Nebraska.

Master Teague III helped led the impressive running attack with 23 carries, 110 yards and a TD.

Justin Fields looks to continue this Heisman candidacy on the road against Maryland. (1-1)

Justin Fields leads the Nation in QBR with a 97.2
