The Bears on Monday traded receiver Anthony Miller and a 2022 seventh-round draft pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2022 fifth-round choice.
Selected by the Bears in the second round of the 2018 draft out of Memphis, Miller appeared in 47 games with 17 starts in three seasons, catching 134 passes for 1,564 yards and 11 touchdowns. He had seven TD receptions as a rookie in 2018 but totaled just four TDs the past two seasons.
Last year Miller caught 49 passes for 485 yards and two touchdowns. He was ejected from the Bears’ wild-card playoff loss to the Saints in the third quarter for punching defensive back C.J. Gardner-Johnson in the helmet.
The #Bears are trading WR Anthony Miller to the #Texans, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Long rumored to be dealt, the former second-round pick gets a fresh start.
