Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is a part owner of the Sporting KC of MLS, the team announced on Tuesday. He is already a part owner of the Kansas City Royals in MLB and his fiancée, Brittany Matthews, is part of the ownership group for KC NWSL.
One year ago, the Royals announced he had purchased a part of the team. His father, Pat Mahomes, played in MLB and Mahomes was drafted into the league but chose football.
