Bobby Bowden, Florida State’s legendary football coach, passed away at Sunday morning after revealing in July that he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was 91 years old.
FSU confirmed that Bowden died at 5:08 a.m. He was surrounded by his wife Ann and all six of their children.
Affectionately referred to as “Bobby” by FSU fans and as “Coach Bowden” by the hundreds of players he coached over four decades, Bowden leaves behind a rich legacy for his impact on the field and his grace off of it.
