The New York Giants made a series of roster moves on Tuesday, most notably placing safety Jabrill Peppers on injured reserve. Peppers has a ruptured ACL and a high-ankle sprain. His season is over.
Peppers suffered knee and ankle injuries while returning a punt on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
Peppers, a free agent at the end of the season, has seen his role on defense reduced somewhat this season. Now, the Giants will be without him. Peppers was also a player frequently mentioned as a candidate to be traded by the Giants prior to the Nov. 2 trade deadline. That won’t happen now.
