Former Alabama wide receiver Javon Baker is headed to play for Gus Malzahn at UCF, he announced.
Baker, a sophomore, appeared in 12 games this year and 21 during his 2-year career, serving as a reserve wideout and playing on special teams. He caught seven passes for 101 yards and a touchdown this fall and had nine catches for 116 yards for his tenure in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Baker was a member of Alabama’s 2020 signing class and was a 4-star recruit out of Powder Springs, Ga. He was rated the No. 34 receiver, No. 20 player from the state of Georgia and 200th overall prospect for the 2020 cycle, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.
