Minneapolis chosen as contingency site if Chiefs-Bucs game has to relocate due to Hurricane Ian

The Sunday Night Football game between the Chiefs and Bucs remains scheduled for Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. However, if the game must move due to the aftereffects of Hurricane Ian, it would be played in Minneapolis.

The NFL has selected U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis as the contingency site for Sunday night’s game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, league executive vice president Jeff Miller confirmed Wednesday.

As of now, the game remains scheduled for Raymond James Stadium in Tampa. The Buccaneers, however, have evacuated the area due to effects from Hurricane Ian’s landfall.
