College Football Playoff officials have been informed that the Rose Bowl has signed an agreement that will allow the College Football Playoff to expand to 12 teams in 2024 and 2025, sources told ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
University presidents and chancellors who oversee the playoff sought a final decision from the Rose Bowl organizers regarding whether they would alter their contractual agreements to pave the way for early expansion of the playoff field.
