The Phoenix Suns plan to sign wing Terrence Ross after the veteran finalizes a contract buyout with the Orlando Magic, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
The Dallas Mavericks previously emerged as a front-runner to sign Ross on Sunday, but Phoenix sold the forward on joining Kevin Durant and bolstering the Suns’ depth at the forward position, Wojnarowski adds.Ross is in the final season of a four-year, $54-million deal he signed in 2019.
The 32-year-old is averaging eight points in 22.5 minutes per game and shooting 38.1% from distance this season.
