Former NBA star Shawn Kemp was arrested and booked into a jail in Washington state on Wednesday after a drive-by shooting.
Kemp was booked into a Pierce County jail just before 6 p.m. local time (9 p.m. ET) on a felony drive-by shooting charge, county records showed. Pierce County Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Darren Moss Jr. confirmed the suspect was the six-time NBA All-Star.
Officers had responded to reports of shots fired in an altercation between the occupants of two vehicles just before 2 p.m. local time (5 p.m. ET) the Tacoma Police Department said in a statement.
