The Miami Dolphins will exercise Tua Tagovailoa’s fifth-year option on his rookie contract, sources told NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
The fifth-year option locks in $23.2 million for Tagovailoa in the 2024 season, Garafolo adds.
The #Dolphins have informed QB Tua Tagovailoa they’re picking up his fifth-year option, sources say. Once executed, Tagovailoa will be guaranteed $23.2 million for the 2024 season.

The Dolphins picking up Tua Tagovailoa’s fifth-year option and guaranteeing his $23.4 million salary for 2024 is the ultimate sign that they don’t have any plans to sign any high-priced quarterbacks this off-season. Tua is their man.
