Ron Holland, the second overall prospect in the 2023 ESPN 100, signed with the G League Ignite, he told ESPN’s Jeff Borzello and Paul Biancardi.
Holland decommitted from Texas at the end of April but only recently got released from his letter of intent.
The 6-foot-8 forward from Duncanville, Texas, initially picked the Longhorns over UCLA and Arkansas. Holland averaged 11.1 points and 6.6 rebounds at the FIBA U17 World Championships last summer.
Matas Buzelis, the No. 5 prospect in the 2023 ESPN 100, also signed with the Ignite on Wednesday, the league announced.
A 6-foot-9 wing from Chicago, Buzelis was named a McDonald’s All-American in 2023 with Sunrise Christian Academy in Kansas. He averaged 15.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.6 blocks per game.
Buzelis also received offers from North Carolina, Wake Forest, Kentucky, and Florida State.
