An MRI confirmed that Denver Broncos wide receiver Tim Patrick suffered a complete tear of his Achilles, effectively ending his 2023 season, reports Mike Klis of 9NEWS.
Patrick sustained the ailment on a non-contact play during practice. Broncos head coach Sean Payton said after Monday’s training session that the team feared an Achilles injury for the pass-catcher.
“I was watching it directly ’cause he was running a route and it was something we corrected earlier,” Payton said. “Planted, thought it looked like he slipped. … Wasn’t any contact, it was just kind of coming out of a cut.”
