Texas Rangers ace Max Scherzer left in the sixth inning of Tuesday’s game with a right triceps spasm following a pitch to Toronto Blue Jays shortstop Bo Bichette, the Rangers announced, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News.
Scherzer unsuccessfully tried to throw a few warmup pitches before being removed.
The 39-year-old will have an MRI on Wednesday, per Grant.
