An MRI on Sunday revealed Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers suffered a Grade 2 AC joint sprain in his right shoulder, reports Pete Thamel of ESPN.
Ewers is expected to miss some time, but his injury reportedly isn’t season-ending. The Longhorns will likely have a return timetable later this week, Thamel adds.
He left Saturday’s 31-24 win over Houston early after going down with a shoulder injury. He seemingly sustained the ailment after lowering his shoulder while attempting to pick up a first down on a run with Texas up 24-21.
