The Denver Broncos rejected three trade offers after fielding calls from seven teams about the availability of star cornerback Patrick Surtain II, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Denver never considered dealing the promising 23-year-old defensive back due to his talent and potential, Schefter reports.
The San Francisco 49ers and Philadelphia Eagles inquired about possible trade scenarios, a source told Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio. Denver was reportedly unwilling to part with Surtain unless it received a major haul in return. The Niners opted to acquire pass-rusher Chase Young, while the Eagles brought in safety Kevin Byard prior to the deadline.
