The undisputed heavyweight title fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk was rescheduled to Feb. 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, sources told ESPN’s Mike Coppinger.
The two champions were originally scheduled to fight on Dec. 23, but Fury demanded the date be changed after he struggled to a controversial split-decision win over MMA star turned boxer Francis Ngannou at the end of October.
This new date ends a contentious couple of weeks between the two sides. Usyk wanted the fight to take place on the original date because he was prepared.
