The New York Mets and right-hander Luis Severino are finalizing a one-year, $13-million contract, sources told Jeff Passan of ESPN.
The Mets and veteran utility man Joey Wendle also agreed to a one-year pact worth $2 million, which includes performance bonuses, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post.
Severino reportedly joins the Mets after spending eight years with the crosstown-rival New York Yankees, which included back-to-back All-Star nods in 2017-18.
