LSU is hiring Missouri defensive coordinator Blake Baker for the same role, the school announced Friday.
Baker is signing a three-year contract that is expected to pay him $2.5 million per season, a source told Pete Thamel of ESPN. The deal will make him the highest-paid assistant coach in college football.
“Blake brings a wealth of experience and success as a defensive coordinator throughout his career, including the last two years in the SEC at Missouri,” head coach Brian Kelly said.
