The Seattle Seahawks kicked off their search for a new head coach on Monday, requesting interviews with multiple candidates.
Seattle asked to speak with Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. In addition to Quinn, the Seahawks reportedly requested interviews with five other coordinators:
Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Frank Smith
Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero
New York Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka
Los Angeles Rams defensive coordinator Raheem Morris
Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham
These are the Seahawks’ first publicly known interview requests. The team’s been looking for a new head coach since it moved Pete Carroll into an advisor role on Jan. 10. The 72-year-old coached Seattle for 14 seasons, posting a 137-89-1 record and guiding the team to its first-ever Super Bowl title.
