Michigan is hiring Florida Atlantic head coach Dusty May to fill its vacancy after firing Juwan Howard, sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday.
May rose to prominence following the Owls’ 2023 NCAA Tournament Final Four run. However, Florida Atlantic failed to replicate that success this season, falling to Northwestern in the first round of the Big Dance on Friday.
The 47-year-old accumulated a 126-69 record across six seasons in Boca Raton, his first head coaching gig. The Owls went 60-13 over the last two years.
