The MLB Players Association blames Nike for the problems, citing unnecessary innovation, and urges for better player involvement in future designs. Despite bad publicity, Nike’s partnership with MLB continues, with Fanatics also involved. MLB, Nike, and Fanatics declined to comment on the matter.
