Vasiliy Lomachenko outgunned and outclassed George Kambosos Jr. to become a world champion once again.
In his first fight since May 2023, Lomachenko finished Kambosos via TKO at the 2:49 mark of the 11th round to capture the vacant IBF lightweight title Saturday at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.
Moments before the stoppage, Lomachenko landed a shot to the body and forced Kambosos to take a knee, resulting in the first knockdown of the match. As soon as the fight resumed, Lomachenko punished Kambosos’ body with a few more punches, and the referee stepped in just as Kambosos’ corner threw in the towel.
