Klay Thompson is prepared to leave the Golden State Warriors if another franchise comes calling, Shams Charania reported on “Run It Back.”
Thompson is set to hit the open market for the second time in his career this summer. He briefly entered free agency in 2019 but promptly signed a five-year, $190-million deal to remain with Golden State.
The Warriors plan to remain in contact with Thompson while he goes through the free-agency process, Charania adds. The team will have an exclusive negotiating window beginning the day after the NBA Finals ends until June 30 at 6 p.m. ET.
