International music star Pitbull is purchasing the naming rights for FIU’s football stadium and changing the name to Pitbull Stadium, according to university board documents obtained by ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Pitbull is expected to pay FIU $1.2 million per year for the next five years as part of the naming rights deal, Thamel adds.
The Panthers’ stadium was previously known as Riccardo Silva Stadium and has a capacity of 20,000.
