Germany’s Franz Wagner hit a late three to make it a one-possession game in the contest’s final minute. However, French guard Isaia Cordinier kept his nerve and knocked down his two free-throw attempts to put the game to rest in the final moments.
Real Madrid star Guerschon Yabusele led France with 17 points, while San Antonio Spurs phenom Victor Wembanyama added 11 points.
