The Dallas Cowboys are offering star wide receiver CeeDee Lamb a contract worth slightly under $33 million per season, according to Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News.
It’s unknown what Lamb is looking for regarding a new extension, Watkins adds. The two sides reportedly talked on the phone before the club left for Las Vegas for Saturday’s preseason game against the Raiders.
Minnesota Vikings wideout Justin Jefferson is the NFL’s highest-paid wideout, making $35 million per season. An average salary of slightly under $33 million would make Lamb the second-highest-paid receiver in the league, just above Philadelphia Eagles star A.J. Brown, who signed a three-year, $96-million extension in April.
