Matt Chapman has signed a six-year, $151 million contract extension with the San Francisco Giants, which includes a no-trade clause and no deferred money. This extension replaces the final two years of his current deal with the team. Chapman had previously signed a three-year, $54 million contract with the Giants after playing for the Toronto Blue Jays. The 31-year-old third baseman, known for his strong defensive skills and four Gold Gloves, is hitting .247 with 22 home runs and 69 RBIs in 131 games with the Giants this season.
