Quarterback Arch Manning sparked Texas with five total touchdowns – including two in a three-snap span – after replacing an injured Quinn Ewers on Saturday versus UTSA.
Ewers exited in the second quarter with a strained abdomen, head coach Steve Sarkisian said on the ESPN broadcast. The Heisman Trophy contender completed 14 of 16 passes for 185 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception before exiting the Week 3 matchup.
He was back on Texas’ sideline in street clothes prior to the end of the first half and spent the rest of the contest there.
