New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr is expected to miss multiple games with an oblique injury he sustained during Monday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, sources told NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.
The four-time Pro Bowl passer exited Monday Night Football in the fourth quarter after taking a hard hit.
Carr became the 25th player in NFL history to surpass 40,000 career passing yards before leaving the game. He completed 18 of 28 pass attempts for 165 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Jake Haener replaced Carr under center, passing for 17 yards and gaining 11 yards on the ground.
